Arched doors installation
l need to install some decorative arched glass doors. They are glass with a
4 inch handcrafted wood frame. They are .61m wide by 2.63 high. These will
be centered vertically in a 3m high wall, raised .20m from the floor level
and .20m lower than the ceiling. The doors will open independently and are
spaced 1.2m horizontally. Is it possible to construct the wall
with concrete blocks and later cut out the space for the arched doors. The
doors are handcrafted and uniquely uneven. l think supports and framing these doors for a concrete pour is beyond the experience of my crew. />
Only if you fill the block with a pour. Other wise, framing
for a pour would just be making a template of the door, or even use the
door as the support for the pour, just make sure it is set, right,
supported properly (wieght of concrete on the frame can put the door off
square and plumb) and make sure the door is protected. Poor the wall
around the door.
